RAY Airport Clean Up Day is May 10th, 2025<\/p>\n

It has been a year since our annual cleanup day.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Last year with the help of so many volunteers, we got so much done.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Please put May 10th on your calendar.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The list below is areas we need to tackle.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We have a big need for chain saws and dragging out all the cuttings.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Drainage is a big priority.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
May 10th\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We need to clear a lot of brush and few trees on the west\/south side end of the runway.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Also a much neglected drain along the grass runway east\/south.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
If string trimming is your thing, then there is a lot to do.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Deirdre is planning a big day working around the terminal. She can use the help.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
2025 projects (numbers are on attached photo)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
1. cut growth back 20-30 ft<\/div>\n
2. IMPORTANT, remove grass that is overgrown taxiway. (for painting this year)<\/div>\n
3. drainage ditch completely over grown.<\/div>\n
4. more clearing of over growth.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
On the east end of the airport, huge improvements have been made.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Also the south\/central side has been improved.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

A. cleared land to lot line<\/div>\n
B. cleared land to lot line<\/div>\n
C. cleared mess along ditch<\/div>\n
D. cleared and leveled field<\/div>\n
E. improved drainage<\/div>\n
F. removed much over growth<\/div>\n
